Working At
Background
OGD ICT services is an organisation where technology and people come together. The corporate culture is open, informal and focused on development - both professional and personal. OGD believes in "learning by doing" and offers employees room to grow in an environment where collegiality and own initiative are key. To support its continued growth, OGD was looking for new talent: from IT start-ups to experienced specialists. The desire was to develop a recruitment marketing campaign that not only informed, but also conveyed the true OGD feeling.
Challenge
OGD competes in a tight labour market where IT talent has ample choice. The challenge was therefore to make OGD's unique culture visible in a credible and appealing way. No smooth talk or polished images, but an honest insight into what it is really like to work at OGD. How do you convey that atmosphere to someone who does not yet know the company?
Approach
We deliberately chose to make a general employer brand film with the aim of creating awareness among the latent target group: IT talents who are not (yet) actively looking, but are sensitive to an organisation with a strong culture and clear identity.
The film focuses on group spirit, combined with personal growth, cooperation and OGD's down-to-earth, human atmosphere. We allowed employees to be portrayed authentically and showed realistic work situations rather than stylised scenes. The film is distributed via LinkedIn, YouTube, and the work-by environment, and used as a first introduction to OGD.
The content revolved around recognisable situations, humour and team spirit - exactly what typifies OGD. We used a mix of formats: from personal Instagram stories to LinkedIn testimonials and a central campaign page on the werkenbij website. Campaigns were targeted at students, young professionals and IT professionals in the regions where OGD operates.
